Last night I watched Invincible and actually enjoyed. I was a little leary of it to tell the truth. I sometimes have this stigma about 70’s period pieces, but this film was very good aside from that.

The movie had the whole Miracle vibe throughout, which is not a bad thing. Miracle was a very good movie about the USA Olympic hockey team.

Invincible had the whole, overcoming adversity theme through it, although the adversity was being 30 years old with no formal football training. The main character,Vince Papale played by Mark Wahlberg, gave the whole idea that you can do anything as long as you try your hardest. Granted, they don’t win a super bowl or anything , but the fact that a 30 year old bartender from Philly who plays football with his buddies can actually make it onto a NFL team the first time he tries. Nice.

Good movie and worth seeing!!
